NYT’s 52 Places to Go in 2014

A new year means that it is time to think about travel plans for the next 12 months. If you’re anything like us, that means that you have a loose sort of running list of places that you want to go – and you just shuffle things around so that the ones where you are most likely to be able to visit end up at the top of the list. Our list is definitely flexible because we still want to go to so many places. If you don’t have a list yet, now is a good time to start one and you can build on the New York Time’s list of 52 Places to Go in 2014. The list, as usual, has a variety of places both near and far, with both expected and unexpected must-see spots suggested.

We were pleased to see not one but two California finds made the top 5: California’s beautiful North Coast and Downtown LA, a place where not too many tourists tend to stop unless they’re taking in a Laker game.
